Using a police clearance certificate with employers, professional bodies and regulators — including roles working with children or vulnerable people, where the requirements are usually stricter.
Overseas employers and many professional bodies require a police certificate from every country of residence as part of a fitness assessment. It is usually requested alongside qualification certificates, professional licences and employment references.
Roles involving children, the elderly or vulnerable adults normally attract additional checks under the regulator's own system in that country. The Thai certificate is one part of the evidence, not the whole of it, and does not replace a domestic check.
In practice applicants submit a bundle: the certificate, a certified translation and other supporting documents certified to the same level. If the layers of certification are uneven across the bundle, the receiving body tends to return the whole file, so we plan the chain to keep every document at the same level.
Applying to several countries at once? Decide how many copies you need at the start. Legalisation is performed per copy, so ordering more later means running the chain again for those copies.
