Simultaneous vs. consecutive: which fits?

Simultaneous interpreting keeps the flow of a large conference on schedule and requires booth equipment plus two interpreters per language pair. Consecutive interpreting suits smaller meetings, court hearings and legal negotiations where accuracy and record-keeping matter more than speed.

Why court-registered interpreters matter

Only interpreters listed on the Ministry of Justice roster can interpret sworn testimony that becomes part of the case record. Using a non-registered interpreter can lead to statements being struck from the record. Our court interpreters carry current MoJ credentials and complete a criminal background check every 12 months.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I book?

48 hours for standard assignments and 7 days for simultaneous conferences. Rush bookings within 24 hours incur a 30-50% surcharge.

Do you cover courts nationwide?

Yes. Our court-registered interpreters cover the Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Chonburi and Khon Kaen court systems, and we dispatch to other provinces on request.

Is VRI legally accepted?

Thai courts and district offices increasingly accept VRI for procedural hearings; embassies and hospitals accept VRI for consular interviews and telemedicine.

Can interpreters sign confidentiality NDAs?

Yes. Every interpreter signs the client's NDA before receiving briefing materials, on top of our standard confidentiality agreement.

Are recordings allowed?

Only with written consent from every party present. Our project manager coordinates the release form before the session.
