Obtain LTR from BOI first; the tax exemption applies automatically — no separate application needed.

Covers foreign-source income remitted in the same or following year, across all Sec. 40(1)-(8) categories.

Must still file PND.90, declaring foreign income on the 'exempt income' line and attaching a copy of the LTR visa.

If the LTR is cancelled or expires, remittances after that date revert to the Worldwide Income 2024 regime.

Common Pitfalls
- Skipping the filing entirely — illegal, must still declare exempt income
- Trying to apply to HSP — HSP is not eligible
FAQ
Do I still file if 100% exempt?
Even when the income is fully exempt, a Thai tax resident should still file PND.90, declare the amount and state the exemption relied on. Filing creates the paper trail needed for residence certificates, bank or loan applications and any later Revenue Department review.
