The recognition certificate has no expiry date because it confirms a qualification already completed. In practice, the Civil Service Commission, professional councils and government HR departments often ask for a copy issued within the last twelve months, and a fresh copy can be requested without repeating the whole evaluation.
MHESI still accepts the application, but assesses the institution case by case using the full course description, transcript, credit hours and accreditation evidence from the issuing country. Expect 60-90 days rather than the standard timeline, and prepare an official syllabus plus proof that the awarding body is state-recognised.
Recognition covers the academic level only, not the right to practise. Doctors must pass the Thai Medical Council's three-step examination, while engineers register at associate grade with the Council of Engineers. Supporting documents for those applications normally need certified translation and consular legalisation before submission.
An online MBA is recognised when the awarding institution holds AACSB, EQUIS or AMBA accreditation and the programme is not delivered through an unlisted franchise partner.
