Thailand deposited its instrument of accession on 30 June 2026; the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027 under Article 12 (source: HCCH). From that date a single Apostille replaces consular legalisation for contracting states; before it, embassy legalisation is still required. Information current as of July 2026.

The English name must match the passport character-for-character. If the birth-certificate transcription differs, either request a fresh Tor Ror 20 with a passport attached to the district office, or attach a Same Person Certificate — NYC handles both routes end to end.
