TM6 / TDAC — Thailand Digital Arrival Card
Since 1 May 2025 the paper TM6 has been fully replaced by the online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) — mandatory before arrival
TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) replaces the paper TM6 entirely since 1 May 2025. Every foreigner entering Thailand (air, land, sea) must complete it at tdac.immigration.go.th within 72 hours before arrival — free, 3–5 minutes. Skipping it means filling it at the immigration counter (slow, risking missed connections).
Step-by-step process (5 steps)
- 1Use official URL only
tdac.immigration.go.th — every other site is fake, charges fees, and is reported to be scams. Never use them!
- 2Enter passport + flight
Passport number + expiry + flight number + arrival date + Thai address (hotel/friend's home/actual residence)
- 3Enter health data
Countries visited in past 14 days + symptoms (if any) — typically 'none'
- 4Receive QR code
System emails the QR immediately + downloadable PDF — save it on your phone or print
- 5Present QR at immigration
Officer scans QR + passport — processed in 1–2 minutes, much faster than the old paper queue
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to file TDAC every entry?
Yes. The card is tied to a specific arrival, so a new submission is required for each entry into Thailand regardless of visa type — tourist, Non-B, Retirement, or LTR. It is normally completed within three days of travel and produces a QR code shown at the immigration counter.
Do Thai nationals need TDAC?
No. The digital arrival card replaces the TM6 form for foreign travellers only, so Thai passport holders proceed through the regular counter or auto-gate without registering. Foreign family members travelling on the same trip must each submit their own card under their own passport number.
What if I don't file in advance?
You can still enter, but will be sent to a counter to file (10–20 min) — risk of missed connections.
Does it link to my host's TM30?
No — TDAC = immigration / TM30 = residence. Separate systems. But the address on TDAC should match your actual TM30 address.
Do children need their own TDAC?
Yes. Every traveller holding a passport needs an individual submission, including infants, because the QR code is generated against a specific passport number. Parents may complete the forms for their children and store all the resulting QR codes on one device to show at the counter.
