Do I need Thai insurance for an O-A visa?

Insurance must come from a Thai insurer or a foreign insurer on Immigration's approved list (Longstay Insurance). The policy must be issued or co-signed by an insurer accepted by Thai Immigration and cover the full permitted stay, so a home-country plan often fails the check. When must TM.30 be filed?

Within 24 hours of the foreigner's arrival at a residence. Landlords and hotels are responsible for filing and face fines otherwise.
